LOREX LR-OPB Remote Controlled Solar Parking Barrier
The LOREX LR-OPB Remote Controlled Solar Automatic Parking Barrier allows the driver to park in a reserved private parking space by remote control without leaving the vehicle. The arm opens and closes by remote control. (You can watch the working principle of the product in the video below.) Especially if you have a parking area at your home or workplace, this product helps you create a private parking space and avoid the problem of finding a parking place. The solar powered parking lock includes a battery and wall charger.
The LOREX Automatic Parking Barrier model LR-OPB is equipped with an integrated solar panel. This panel charges the internal battery using sunlight. Thanks to this feature, the remote controlled barrier continues to operate in locations exposed to sunlight without requiring an electrical connection. The energy collected during the day charges the internal battery, and at night the device continues to operate uninterrupted from the battery.
The LOREX LR-OPB Remote Controlled Solar Automatic Parking Barrier is equipped with a loud alarm system. If the barrier arm is forced down while in the open position or if a vehicle passes over the arm, the high-volume alarm siren will sound.
General Features
- Continuous operation with solar energy: The integrated solar panel charges the battery with sunlight and allows continued operation at night without requiring an electrical connection.
- Convenient remote control: Provides maximum ease of use by allowing the driver to open and close the barrier by remote control without getting out of the car.
- High-volume alarm system: In case of unauthorised interference or a vehicle passing over the barrier, a loud alarm siren sounds to enhance security.
- Durable and reliable structure: Secure installation with steel anchor bolts and screws supports reliable operation and long service life.
- Complete set content: The package includes the essential components such as battery, charger adaptor, 2 remote controls and 2 keys.

Technical Information and Frequently Asked Questions
Technical Information (Battery, Solar, Charging)
- Battery: 6V 12Ah (inside the unit)
- Solar panel: provides gradual charging support during the day
- Charging indicator: when charging is complete, the light turns from red to green
- Low battery effect: if terminal voltage falls below 6.2V, operation may slow down; charging is recommended
- Cold weather: battery capacity may decrease slightly in low temperatures; this is normal
Installation / Fixing Diagram
Diagram 1: Floor Hole Points and Anchor Placement
Before installation, determine the position of the barrier, check the arm movement area and mark the floor holes according to the template.
Diagram 2: Free Arm Movement Check After Installation
After installation, the barrier arm should move freely in open and closed positions without friction; if resistance occurs, the floor alignment and screw tightness should be checked.
Installation and Usage Notes
- The product should be firmly fixed onto a level and dry concrete surface.
- For best solar panel efficiency, choose a location that receives sunlight during the day whenever possible.
- Remote control range may vary depending on walls, vehicle density and signal interference.
- In cases of force or driving over the barrier, the alarm may be triggered; perform a mechanical check.
- Regular cleaning of dust and dirt on the surface helps keep the product clean and dry.
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
-
Should the battery be charged before first use?Yes. It is recommended to charge the battery before using the product for the first time. During charging, the indicator light changes from red to green when the battery is fully charged.
-
How long does a full charge take?Charging time depends on the battery level, but a full charge is typically completed in approximately 10 hours.
-
What happens if the battery remains discharged for a long time?If the battery stays at a low level for a long period, performance may decrease and battery life may be shortened. For this reason, it is recommended to recharge the battery before it becomes fully discharged.
-
The barrier is operating more slowly than normal / not opening. What should I do?When the battery level drops, the barrier may operate more slowly. Charge the battery. If the issue continues, check the connections and inspect the mechanism for any obstruction.
-
How can I use the barrier if the remote control does not work?If the remote control fails or the battery is weak, the barrier arm can also be raised and lowered manually.
-
What happens if the barrier arm is forced (vehicle passing over it / forced closing)? The mechanism may show a protective behaviour to protect the motor. When the angle changes under external force, the alarm may be activated and the arm can generally recover automatically within 5-10 seconds.
-
What kind of ground is suitable for installation? It is recommended to install the barrier on a level and dry concrete surface. The barrier should not be hit by vehicles during entry or exit.
-
What is the remote control range and operating temperature?Under suitable conditions, the remote control range can reach up to 50 metres. The device is designed to operate within the range of -25°C to +55°C.
-
What maintenance should I perform?Dust and dirt on the device surface should be cleaned regularly. Clean and dry use helps provide better resistance against outdoor environmental effects.
-
Nothing happens when I press the button; what could be the possible reasons?Check the connections, charge the battery, inspect the remote battery and examine whether there is any mechanical deformation or jamming. If the problem continues, technical support is recommended.
